Later #31: A movie: 'Gasland'

Saw the movie, 'Gasland,’ a documentary about the mining of natural gas in the US. Director, cameraman and narrator Josh Fox receives a notice from a gas company offering him $100,000 to drill for gas on his land. Before accepting he decides to research what it was all about.
He discovers a litany of looming and present environmental disaster spread over vast areas of the US, which is totally unchecked because of a Bush legacy of exempting these companies from all environmental protection legislation. This is raw camera work which compliments the unchecked emotion of the victims and the starkness of the environmental degradation. It clearly affects Josh. Australians in particular should be very interested and concerned with this subject. 7/10.
